This man's friends in this district will regret to learn that the tragic news has been received by his wife, Mrs J Hunt and by his parents, Mr & Mrs S H Hunt of 11 Crookes Ave, Mansfield Woodhouse that their son, Sapper John Hunt of the Royal Engineers has been reported killed in action in the fighting in Libya on 17th January. Aged 24 he enlisted 5 months before the outbreak of war and served in France where he was wounded.
