Family history

Only son of Thomas and Ethel Mary Henderson.
Thomas was killed in the WW1. He was Sergeant (Piper) Thomas Henderson of the Gordon Highlanders and was killed on 14th December 1917.
In 1921 the family were boarding at Mechanics Institute, Queen Street, Mansfield and in 1939 Ethel and Tom's sister Ethel Nora (15/6/1911) where living at 62 Ravensdale Rad, Mansfield. Ethel Nora worked in the shoe trade.

Sgt T. V. Henderson of 62 Ravensdale Road, Mansfield, son of Mrs E M Henderson, formerly librarian at the local Mechanics Institute. attended High Oakham School and joined the RAF as an apprentice at the age of 17. Three years of his training was spent in India. He returned to England at the end of 1937
