Killed when he was thrown from his motorcycle while swerving to miss a woman who stepped in to the road at Bracebridge, Lincoln. Died Lincoln Hospital from a cranial haemorrhage due to a fractured skull after colliding with a wall. Inquest 29/05/1940 and 8/06/1940, verdict misadventure.
