Sappers Reginald Caisley and Harry Lewis struck by a car driven by Mrs Barbara Ware of Collingham as they unloaded a lorry near Bleach Houses, Lincoln Road, Newark. Both taken to Newark Gerneral Hospital, Sapper Caisley died the following day.
Mrs Barbara Ware of The Cottages, South Collingham was later found guilty of dangerous driving and unlawfully by wilful neglect causing certain bodily harm.
Fined £20 and licence suspended.
