Family history
Son of James Richard and Olive Baxter of 50 Newark Road, Southwell.
In 1938 Thomas married Phyllis Brenda Bamford and they had one son, Brian born on 23rd February 1939. Brian died aged 5 in 1944. Phyllis never re-married and died in 1999
Military history
The 2nd Light Anti-Aircraft regiment had been formed in October 1940. In December 1940 they were sent to Eygpt and formed a part of the defence of the Tobruk garrison.
Rommell laid seige to Tobruk frm 10th April 1941 to Nvember 1941.
