Bdr Jozef Klimenko 99476, 91 Repatriation Camp, Adderbury, Oxfordshire. Died from a compound skull fracture after being struck by a Morris 15 cwt lorry on the Banbury to Oxford Road near Bodicote. Buried Newark Cemetery 4 December 1945. Pte Kapala said the deceased and himself were walking back to camp when the victim was struck from behind by a lorry. Pte James Liddell said he was driving the lorry carrying soldiers back to the camp from a dance at Banbury when dazzled by the lights of an oncoming car. Lt Oswald RAMC was called to the scene and found the soldier already deceased with head and leg injuries. PC Nash attended the scene and found the deceased 10ft from the road on the verge with one of his shoes a further 2ft away. Jozef Klimenko, listed as Pte in the local papers and L/Cpl on his death certificate but Bdr by CWGC
