13/14 March 1942 Wellington Z8438 305 Sqn. Take off 19.22 RAF Lindholme to bomb Koln. Hit by Flak, Z8438 over shot on return to base hitting buildings near the rifle range, and bursting into flames. 2 crew dragged injured from the wreckage. All buried at Newark Cemetery.
