Take off from 21.58 RAF Swinderby to bomb Bremen part of 70 aircraft raid. Haze covered the target and bombing was scattered.

4.03.20 R1026 crashed on return between Dales Wood and Roe Wood at Winkburn, Nottinghamshire after the propeller detached during a fire in the starboard engine. Crew rescued by Mr & Mrs Broadberry (who received the British Empire Medal), their son George and Mr Conlon. The youngest son Tom was sent to get help.
