Military history

Participant of the Polish defense with 51 squadron assigned to the SGO "Narew". Along with the technical staff of the squadron, he evacuated to France and then to England, where he was assigned to 301 Sqn at RAF Swinderby.

In August 1939, after emergency mobilisation , the unit was renamed the 51st Reconnaissance Squadron.

In the September 1939 campaign, the unit fought as part of the SGO "Narew" aviation units.
Location: Rynek Ostrowski District Equipment: 7 PZL.23B KarÅ› aircraft.

Killed at 23.10 after walking under an aircraft and being struck by a propeller during an
engine test.

Extra information

May 27, 1925, the 8th Intelligence Squadron of the 2nd Air Regiment was renamed the 23rd Air Squadron .

1928, the unit was subordinated to the commander of the newly formed 5th Air Regiment , ferried from the Rakowicki airport in Krakow to the airport in Lida and renamed the
54th Squadron .

1933, the sub-unit was renamed the 51st Squadron . In the autumn of this year, together with 53 Companion Escort , the unit was moved to Vilnius to the Porubanek airport and
included in the Detachment of the Air Squadron.

September 1937, the detachment was relocated to Lida again.
