Arthur Bowler was the son of Thomas and Harriett Bowler and the brother of John Bowler. In 1891, they lived in Stapleford. Arthur married Susan Ann Chesham in 1898 and they had four children - Vernie, Kenneth Arthur, Allan Asher Cheetham and Stanley Douglas Bowler. In 1901, they lived at 43, Wilford Crescent East, Meadows, Nottingham. Between 1911 and 1941, they lived at 84, Trent Boulevard, West Bridgford, Nottingham.
