Eight Gooch family members were present when 32, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford was destroyed during the 9/5/41 air raid. Seven were killed and an eighth, 15 year old George Harold William Gooch, died a week later. The house, which stood on this space, was never rebuilt and the land is now a car park for the dental practice at no. 30 (shown to the left).
