Samuel Roberts
Anecdotally, the Moot Hall caretaker's body was discovered across Friar Lane in Burtons' shattered window where it lay amongst tailors' mannequins. Samuel Roberts was listed on the 1939 Register as 'barman, cellarman, general public house work' so presumably it was his body found within Burtons' window display.
