Captured by the Russians during the 1939 German/Russian invasion of Poland. Sent to a Siberian Labour Camp. Released under the Russo-Polish pact 1941/1942, travelling to Iran then Palestine.

Technical Training Command

3 Squadron, Polish Resettlement Corp, RAF Hucknall. Found in the navigation hut by Flight Serjeant Czeslaw Stasiewicz dead with a gun shot wound to the head. He had been meant to leave for another unit the previous night. He had intended to propose to a Sheffield school teacher, but also stated he would have to return to Poland but gave no reasons why. Inquest verdict by Nottingham District Coroner Lt-Col H Bradwell, suicide. The inquest heard the revolver was not issued or loaned to Serjeant Grzymalowski.
