Military history
RAF Commands: Attached to 21 MU. He was admitted dangerously ill to mansfield General Hospital on 31st january, where he died of tuberculosis meningitis.
21MU was a maintenance unit based at RAF Fauld, near Tutbury, Staffordshire. It was an underground explosive and ammunation store. In 1944 it had been badly damaged in an explosion.
