We regret to have to record the death from gunshot wounds of Pte E Naylor of the Lincolnshire Regiment serving in the East. Pte Naylor had many friends in Mansfield. His age was 21 and previously to joining the forces in February last year he was a well-known member of the Home Guard. He had been in the East only about 2 months and died in No 84 Hospital, Sumatra on 31st December 1945
