Son of George and Elizabeth Keyworth of East Retford. George died 1917 and Elizabeth in 1915.
Siblings: George (1890), Madge (1892), William (1895), Harry (1898), Cecil (1900), Melody (1901), Elizabeth (1904), Annie (1908) and Winnifred (1910).
George served in the navy during WW1, William was in the Labour Corps, Cecil served with the Leicestershire Regiment and Harry served with the Sherwood Foresters, all four survived.
Charles was baptised on 30th September 1905.
Charles married Winifred Harris in 1936 and they had 2 daughters, Doreen in 1936 and Mavis in 1938. In 1939 they were living at 3 Peel Crescent, Mansfield.
He had been in the Army from 1926 to 1933 and then was on the reserve list until 1939 when he was recalles to colours. He had served in Burma during the war.

Due for de-mobilisation C.S.M. Charles Frederick Keyworth, Sherwood Foresters died last Sunday in Nottingham General Hospital. C.S.M Keyworth aged 40 is the hhusband of Mrs W Keyworth of 3 Peel Crescent, Bull Farm, Mansfield and in addition to his wife he leaves 2 children. He was taken ill after he returned from Burma in August this year. He enlisted as a regular soldier in 1926 and was on reserve during 1933 to 1939, then he worked at Glapwell Colliery. His four brothers all served during 1914-18 war. C.S.M. Keyworth will be buried today (Thursday) at Mansfield Cemetery with full military honours. The interment will be preceded by a service at St Augustine's Church.
