Son of Frederick and Agnes Crowder, of 4 Rock Valley, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
Percy had 2 sisters Phoebe Ellen born 196 and Agnes born 1910.
husband of Emily Crowder (nee Read), of Mansfield. They married in 1935 and their son, Colin was born in 1939. Emily never re-married and she died in 1969.
Percy enlisted in the North Lancashire Regiment in 1941 and then transferred to the Royal Engineers. A Port Operating Company would have built and maintained ports and docks.
Percy's sister Phoebe Ellen lost her son, Lewis Thomas Mellors (born 1913) fighting with the Sherwwod Foresters in Norway on the 23rd April 1940
