Leslie was baptised at All Saints Church, Huthwaite on 24th December 1919.

News has been received by Mr & Mrs A Trigg of 130 Forest Road, Clipstone that their son, Leslie has been killed in action in Western Europe. After serving for four years and 9 months in various theatres of war. He was 25 years of age.

Leslie seems to have enlisted in late 1939 or very early 1940 so was probably invloved in the evacuation at Dunkirk, the Battles for El Alamein, the Invasion of Sicily, and D-Day.
