Shot down at 0042 26 Aug 1944 crashing in the town of Landau 50 miles E of Saarbr_cken Germany 15 miles from the French border (rafcommands.com). No suvivors. Fatlities: Slater (WO) + Richard Neville Hansell (P), Randolph James Hayden (N), John Letts (FE), Hareold Oxspring Lowbridge (AG), Arthur Norman Taylor (AB) & Ralph Peters (AG).
