Trooper Kennedy was the son of Mr. Peter Kennedy, "Laurels Cottage," Leverton-road, Retford; and the late Mrs. Kennedy, of Oldcotes.
In 1942, Kennedy married Laura Camp-Jermyn, a former pupil of West Retford Convent, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Camm, of Gorleston-on-Sea, She was serving in the W.A.A.F.
