Homberg 147 Lancasters and 11 Mosquitoes attacked the Homberg oil plant abd caused severe damage. German documents reveal that production of aviation fuel dropped from 6,000 tonnes per day to between 120 and 970 tonnes per day. However, German night fighters accounted for 20 Lancasters on this raid.
