Military history

Enlisted : 24th June 1940 : Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
Served with the Expeditionary Force in North Africa with the 14th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters, drafted on the 31st December 1942.
Wounded at Anzio, Italy on the 14th March 1944.
He spent two weeks in a Military Hospital before returning to the Uk, where he transferred to Harlow Wood Hospital, near Mansfield, Nottignhamshire where he died of : Papaplegia, aged 29 years.
