Son of Charles William Hind, and of Mary Ann Hind, of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
He had 2 sisters, Joyce born in 1924 and Maureen in 1937.
In 1921 his parent's were living with Mary Ann's wodowed mother at 117 Princes Street, by 1939 they had moved to 109 Princes Street. Charles died in 1940.
Military history
Was held as a prisoner of war in Germany. The 17 Coast Regiment had been stationed in Tobruk so he was possibly captured during the attacks on Tobruk.
