Siblings: William (1922-22), Dorothy (1923-23), Frank (1924), twins Thomas & Beatrice (1926), Hector (1929), Cyril (1930), Sybil (1933) and Edward (1938).
He married Harriet Stafford in 1940 and their son Peter was born a few months later.

News has been received that Pte J Bell of the Cameron Highlanders, C.M.F. died of wounds on May 7th 1944.
Pte Bell who is 22 has been in H.M. forces for 2 and half years and has been abroad for 3 months.
He was married and had 2 children. A native of Mansfield he was educated at Ravensdale School.
