He was a passenger in the RX vehicle along with the driver AC1 Newtown as part of a convoy of 9 vehicles and 5 trailers which moved off from Ramu at 07:30 Hours bound for Maungdaw. At 10:15 hours the RX vehicle overturned fatally injuring Ball who died in a nearby CCS (rafcommands).
