He was the youngest son of James and Margaret Ellen Robertson of 25, Albert Road, Retford.

Military history

He joined the RAF in 1941 and trained to become a wireless operator/gunner.

Robertson was the navigator aboard Halifax III LK758 which crashed in the UK. Also killed
were Albert William Nicol, Vinvcent Ronald Polowy, Donald William Howard, Stanley Harold Short, Joseph Wilfred Henry Vidal.
