Family history
He was the son of Charles and Lucy Moorley of Mickleover. Murice Moorley and Catherine J Saunders were married in 1938 and lived at 30, Highfield Road, Nuthall, Nottinghamshire. Their son Charles was born at Nottingham in 1943 so (obviously) never knew his father.
Military history
Moorley was a pilot instructor aboard Oxford I V3430. Frank Witt, a trainee pilot, was also killed in the crash.
