35 Wellingtons and 14 Hampdens deployed to carry out low level attacks on railway targets at Hanau, Lohr. It was very costly; 12 Wellingtons (34% of the Wellingtons dispatched) were lost ( + 1 Hampden). 5 0f 12 57 Sqdn Wellingtons on this raid were lost and 214 Sqdn lost 7 of its 14 Wellingtons.
