Son of James and Edith Charlotte McNicholas, of 13 parker Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse.
Siblings: Eileen (1908-1938), George Patrick (1911), John (1914), Evelyn Nora (1919) and
Margaret (1924). John died aged 13 months in October 1915.
In 1939 James and Edith where still living at 13 Parkers Lane Mansfield Woodhouse with their youngest daughter, Margaret.

Extra information

George Patrick also served during WW2. He enlisted on 18th July 1940 and served with the Auxillery Military Pioneer Corp until his discharge in Feb 1946. Whilst stationed in Belguim he met and married a local girl, Cecilia Stephania Hendick of Antwerp Belguim on 27th November 1945. Antwerp was a major staging post for Allied forces once Belguim had been liberated. They returned to live in Mansfield and went on to have two children, Cecilia and Andrew.
