He married Edith Flint on 26th December 1934 at St Mary of The Purification Church, Bilsthorpe. They had no children.
At the time of his marriage was living at 77 Church Street, Bilsthorpe. His father was called William
Edith was living with her parents William and Mary at 9 North Avenue, Rainworth.
On the 1939 England and Wales Register she was living at 2 North Avenue, Rainworth.
She married Ernest Mayfield in 1947.

In his will, Phillip left Edith £135 and she was living at 2 North Avenue, Rainworth.
