Flying Officer H Haswell, Sergeant R B Martin and Sergeant D B Simpson: missing presumed dead from patrol. 59 Sdn ORB, Record of Events, 25/7/1940 (TNA Air 27/554/18) recorded 3 aircraft from 59 Sqdn lost on this patrol 20 Miles north of Aldernery. '... 6 dead bodies were observed near the position,' noted the ORB of Martin's lost aircraft.
