Abraham Abbott was born in 1891 he was the son of Eleanor Abbott who lived at Portland House, Carrington Street, Nottingham.

He was the husband of Nellie Abbott (b.8th November 1880) and they lived at 29, Pelican Street, Radford Nottingham with their daughter Madge who was born 21st July 1913.

With effect from 8th July 1918, Nellie was awarded a weekly pension of 20s/5d.

Military history

Abraham Abbott enlisted at Pontefract, he served with the 2/5th battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, he died of wounds on 27th November 1917 he is buried at Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manancourt, Grave Reference: III. A. 16.
