He was the son of Albert Edward and Lily Willis and the brother of Audrey Willis of 22, Belton Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham.
Military history
Willis was the Wireless Operator aboard Wellington III BK4000 which crashed in the UK during a training flight on 3rd March 1943. Also killed were Vaughan Stacey Allen, Arthur Frederick Ash, Alexander Rennie Burgess, Stanley Walker Shepherd and Edward Devereux Spratt who was the pilot.
