Family history
He was the son of James (hairdresser) and Ida (née Bostock) 180, Alfreton Road in 1939. Formerly a member of Trent Lane ATC, James Goslin was a nephew of the late Lt Harry Goslin, captain of Bolton Wanderers FC.
Military history
Goslin was the pilot of Beaufighter V8848 which crashed in the Middle East. His navigator John Graham Dobbie Hislop (1050857) was also killed.
