“HAYWOOD. – Killed in action, July 13th, 1916, Private William Haywood, K.R.R., aged 33 years. When times are bad and friends are few, dear husband how I long for you – the one I loved and could not save, buried in an unknown grave. – From his sorrowing wife & children.”
