Harold Henry Osborne was born in 1886 at Nottingham, he was the son of Edward a lacemaker and the late Elizabeth Elizabeth Bird and the brother of Clara, Annie Helen, Edward, Frank and William Osborne.
His father Edward was born in 1861 at Nottingham, his mother Elizabeth Mary Bird was born in 1863 at Nottingham, she died in 1905 aged 43 yrs, they were married in 1882 at Nottingham, they went on to have 7 children, sadly 1 died in infancy or ealy childhood.
In the 1911 census his widowed father is living at 33 Lomas Street, Nottingham, he is shown as Edward 50 yrs a lace maker, he is living with his children, Clara 19 yrs a lace hand, Annie 16 yrs a lace hand, Edwin 12 yrs, Frank 9 yrs, William 6 yrs, May Emily 4 yrs of age.
Harold Henry was the husband of Maud Emily Osborne and the father of May Emily Elizabeth and John Edward Osborne. The family lived together at 33, Lomas Street, St Ann's Nottingham in 1901 and 1911.
Private Harold Henry Osborne enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 1st battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, he died of wounds on 22nd October 1915, he is buried at Kensal Green (All Saints ) Cemetry.

'Osborne. In loving memory of our dear brother Private Harold Osborne Lancashire Fusiliers died of wounds October 22nd 1915 aged 29 years. - Sorrowing dad, sisters, brothers and Albert (in France).'
