Cyril Nathaniel Storer was born on 3rd June 1892 at Nottingham, he was the son of the late Henry a coal miner and the late Mary Storer née Turton and the brother of Florence, Christina, Harold, Mary, Douglas and Leonard Storer.
His father Henry was born in 1837 at Ripley he died in 1907 aged 70 yrs, his mother Mary Elizabeth Turton was born in 1845 at Staveley she died in 1909 aged 64 yrs they were married on 28th July 1861 at Chesterfield, tey went on to have 10 children.
In 1891 and 1901 they lived at 73 York Street Glasshouse Street Nottingham (St Mark's parish).
Cyril emigrated from England on 11th January 1911 landing at Halifax, Cnada.
He was the husband of Winifred Cannon Chaloner, born 3rd May 1889 at Ruddington, they were married in 1918 at Nottingham.
Sapper Cyril Nathaniel Storer enlisted into the Candian Expeditionary Force at Winnipeg Manitobia on Jan. 5th 1916, giving his address as 196 Eugene Street, Norwood, Manitoba, he was 23 yrs and 7 months old, listing prior military service with the 100th Winnipeg Grenadiers Canadian Militia and 2 years with the Robin Hood Rifles Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He listed his occupation as "Rancher" He gave his next of kin as his siter Florence Storer of 9 Ladybay Avenue, Nottingham.
Cyril died at Vancouver BC on April 7th 1920 at the age of 29. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
