Archibald McMillan (junior)was born on 2nd August 1880 at Nottingham, he was the son of the late Archibald McMillan (senior) a commissions agent and Jane McMillan née Matheson Hurst and the brother of Jane, Robert, Agnes and William H McMillan.
His father Archibald McMillan was born in 1846 at Dudley, he died in 1915 aged 69 yrs, his mother Jane Matheson Hurst was born in 1851 at Leciestershire, they were married on 29th January 1871 at St Pauls Church, Nottingham, they went on have 6 children.
In 1891 they lived at 23 Northville Street Raglan Street Peas Hill Road St Ann's Nottingham.
Archibald McMillan was the husband of Caroline Wolf (born 1879 at Nottingham ) they were married on 24th December 1902 at the Holy Trinity Church, Nottingham.
Archibald McMillan (junior) and his wife emigrated to Canada. and they lived at 804 Lipton Street Winnipeg they had 3 children, Thomas Archibald born 1903, at Nottingham, Mabel Agnes born 1906 Winipeg and Harriett Jenny born 1910 winipeg.
The family emmigrated to Canada in 1906
Staff Sergeant Archibald McMillan served in the Canadian Field Artillery 9th Brigade he died on 15th November 1917 and is buried in Reninghelst New Military Cemetery (grave ref. IV. B. 20).
