He was the son of Morrison and Alice Hodges. He was the husband of Alice Ann (née Jones) Hodges and the father of Morrison Herbert and Gladys M Hodges. In 1911 they lived with Alice's family at 21 Dennett Street Flewitt Street Alfred Street South Nottingham. Alice married Percy C Davis in 1920 and they lived at Council Houses Dale Road Carlton Nottingham.
