Stanley Jessie Carr was born on 31st December 1893 and baptised on 27th May 1894 at Bristol.he was the son of Walter and Elizabeth Carr of 1 Chesson Road, West Kensington, London.

Military history

CARR, STANLEY JESSE, Private, No. 1285, 13th Battalion (Princess Louise's Kensington) The London Regiment (T.F.), son of the late Walter Carr, L.C.C Tramway Driver, by his wife, Elizabeth (1, Chesson Road, West Kensington), daughter of the late George Ballam; b. Iron Acton, co. Gloucester, 31 Dec. 1893; educated North End Road Council School, Fulham; joined the Kensingtons in April, 1912, and on the outbreak of war volunteered for foreign service with his Regiment, and was killed in action while trench digging at Laventie, France, 4 March, 1915; unmarried. Buried on a farm on the La Bassée road, about a mile and a half from Neuve Chapelle.
