Family history

Herbert Bush was born in 1899 at Nottingham, he was the son of Percy a painter and decorator and Viloet Bus née Eaton of 56 Leighton Street St Ann's Nottingham.

His father Percy was born in 1874 at Nottingham, his mother Violet Eaton was born in 1875 at Nottingham they were married on 3rd June 1895 at St Stephens Church, Sneinton, Nottingham, they had 4 children.

In the 1911 census the family are living at lucknow Drive Sutton in Ashfield, Percy 37 yrs a painter and decorator is living with his wife Violet 36 yrs and their children, Ada 15 yrs a hosiery trade worker, Herbert 12 yrs a scholar, Bernard 10 yrs a scholar and Percy 5 yrs of age.

Military history

Percy Herbert Bush enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 6th battalion Leicestershire Regiment. He was killed in action on 28th May 1918 he is buried at Hermonville Military Cemetery, France
