Harry Foster was born in 1883 at Nottingham he was the husband of Edith Ann Logan born 30th December 1887 they were married in 1912 at Nottingham, they lived at 114 Colwick Road Nottingham they had a daughter Phyllis Hatley Foster born 14th October 1912.

Commencing 5th February 1917 his widow was awarded a pension of 17 shillings and 6 pence a week.

Military history

Private Harry Foster enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 12th battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, he was killed in action on 12th July 1916 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
