Family history
Harry Edward Nason was baptised on 12th January 1890 at Northampton, he was the son of the late John Robert Nason a painter and decorator and Amelia Rogers Warden of Duke Street, Nottingham.
His father John Robert was born in 1862 at Catlemaine, Victoria, Australia, he died in 1896 aged 34 yrs, his mother Amelia Rogers Warden was born in 1870 at Northampton, they were married in 1884 at Northampton, they had 5 children, Horace b1885, Frederick b1887, Bertie Alexander b1891 and Gertrude Myrtle b1894.
Harry Edward married Florence Webster (born 19th March 1885 ) they were married on 3rd August 1914 at St Stephens Church, Sneinton, Nottingham, Florence brought a child to the marriage ( not Harry's son) Leonard Morris Webster born 19th March 1905 Harry later adopted him, they went on to have a son Harry born 27th June 195, they lived at 36 Kingston Street, Lower Eldon Street Sneinton Nottingham.
Commencing 6th December 1915 his widow was awarded a pension of 15 shillings a week.
Military history
Private Harry Edward Nason enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 2nd battalion Grenadiers Guards, he was killed in action on 19th May 1915, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.
