He was the husband of Rose Annie Curtis whom he married on 22nd Decembe 1900 at Christ Church Radford, he is 19 yrs of age and a winder living at 3 Alfreton Road, his wife is 18 yrs and is also living at 3 Alfreton Road, his father is David Ambler (deceased.)
In 1911 they lived at 5 Harry Terrace, Crocus Street Meadows Nottingham Frederick Ambler 29 yrs is a riveter for the Burroughs Adding Machine Coy he is living with his wife Rose Annie 29 yrs a lace mender.
His widow later lived at 12 Uppingham Terrace, Waterway Street, Meados, Nottingham.
Private Frederick Ambler enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the No. 14 Depot (Zeneghem) Army Ordnance Corps, he died on 12th November 1917 he is buried at Le Baraques Military Cemetery, Sangate, France.
