William Wilcox was born in 1881 at Nottingham.

He was the husband of Florrie Boot (born 22nd October 1886 ) they were married in 1908 at Notitingham, they had 4 children, Angie born 9th October 1908, Margaret born 2nd September 1910, Norah born 10th April 1913 and William Thomas Wilcox born 11th September 1915.

They lived at 7 Blue Bell Hill St Ann's Nottingham.

Commencing 21st October 1918 his widow was awarded a pension of 33 shillings and 9 pence a week.

Military history

Gunner William Wilcox enlisted at Nottingham, he served with 'E' Bty 298th Bde Royal Field Artillery, he was killed in action on 21st March 1918, having no known grave his name is commemroated on the Arras Memorial
