He was the husband of Dorothy Garton (born 26th September 1895 ) they were married in 1916 at Nottingham, they lived at 51 Waterway Street Meadows Nottingham.

His widow was awarded a pension of 16 shillings and 3 pence a week commencing 7th May 1917, at this daye she was living at 27 Sutton Street, Meadow lane, Nottingham.

Military history

Sergeant Frank Willis enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 13th battalion Durham Light Infantry, he was killed in action on 8th October 1916 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
