He was the son of Thomas and Kate Wright. In 1911 they lived at 69 City Road Old Lenton Nottingham.
Private Harold Wright, 2nd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, was killed in action on 16th September 1917. He is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Loos.II D 8
In memoriam published 16th September 1918 in the Nottingham Evening Post :-
WRIGHT. – In loving memory of Pte. Harold Wright, killed in action September 16th, 1917, aged 20, Sherwood Foresters, 37 Gregory-street. He sacrificed his life for cause of freedom. What would we give to clasp his hand and bid him welcome home; loved by all. – From his sorrowing mother, father, aunt Ada.”
