Albert Edward Wright was born in 1886 at Nottingham, he was the son of the late Frederick Wright a railway drayman and Millie Wright néé Penniston of Nottingham.
His father Frederick was born in 1853 at Stapleford, he died in 1893 at Nottingham, he was 40 yrs old, his mother Milley Penniston was born in 1851 at Saxby, Leicestershire, they were married on 31st March 1876 at Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, they had 6 children.
In the 1911 cenus his sister Edith Mary Wright 33 yrs of age and a shopkeeper grocer was cited as head of family and Albert 24 yrs a beef butcher was listed residing with her and a brother Frederick 28 yrs a house painterat 20 Deering Street Nottingham.
Private Albert Edward Wright enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 1/4th battlion Northumberland Fusiliers, he died of wounds on 8th August 1916, he is buried at Calais Southern Cemetery, France
