William Monger was born on 22nd May 1889 at Halifax, he was baptised on 9th June 1889 at Lepton, Yorkshire, he was the son of James and Sarah Monger
He was the foster son of Mrs Dennis of 27 Nottingham Road East Kirkby Nottinghamshire.
Military history
Private William Monger enlisted and served with the Plymouth battalion Royal Marien Light Infantry he died from disease on 27th February 1919, he is buried at Plymouth (Weston Mill Cemetery,) Plymouth.
