Harry Percy Gregory was born in 1881 at Sutton in Ashfield, he was the son of Henry and Agnes Gregory of Nottinghamshire.
In the 1911 census he was lodging with family members at Birkenhead, he is lodging at 43 Milton Road, Birkenhead, he is 28 yrs and is a proffesional cricketer, he is living with his brother in law, William Williams 40 yrs an overseer and his family.
Lance Corporal Harry Percy Gregory enlisted at Manchester, he served with the 1/8th battalion Manchester Rgiment, he landed in the Egyptian Theatre, on 25th September 1914, he was killed in action in Gallipoli on 7th August 1915, having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli.
